Who buys a list of dentists

A dentist buys big things on long timelines.

Dentistry has real money behind it. A chair, a scanner, an X-ray unit: each one runs into five figures. The firms that sell that kit want the whole file, sorted by size.

Practice software sells here too, and so does patient finance. A mouth of implant work costs more than a used car. The clinic that offers monthly payments closes more of it.

Then there is the listing itself. Only 45% have claimed their Maps page. A dentist stands over a patient all day, so nobody inside the clinic owns that job. The hours go stale and the photos age.

The gatekeeper here is the front desk, not the dentist. Write to the practice manager. They read the post, they hold the diary, and they say no on the owner's behalf.

One thing to know before you buy. 30% of these rows carry an e-mail. That works for a first touch, but it will not carry a campaign on its own. Pair it with the 576 phone numbers.

50 of the 610, with nothing hidden

Sorted by review count, so the busiest dentists in Norway are at the top — Christiania tannlegesenter | MALO CLINIC leads on 851 reviews. 16 of these 50 have no website at all, and they are the ones to look at first. No signup and no e-mail wall — the addresses and phone numbers themselves arrive in your export, and that part is the product.

  1. Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
  2. Pick the place Country, region, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
  3. The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
  4. Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
  5. Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
  6. Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.
The Search screen, signed in, querying the live index. This shot is Norway → Plumber, and the 605 on it is the same 605 the plumber page counts. One query, no sampling, no estimate. The shot is Norway → Plumber; run it for dentists in Norway and the same screen returns 610.

Where they are

Norway splits into regions, and so does the file. Pick one region and you cut 610 rows down to a list you can work through in a week.

RegionRecords With emailNo websiteShare
Oslo 151 72 53 25%
Vestland 132 33 81 22%
Rogaland 82 21 37 13%
Buskerud 64 21 31 10%
Agder 63 7 32 10%
Trøndelag 50 16 24 8%
Troms 35 4 13 6%
Møre og Romsdal 26 4 13 4%

The 8 regions above hold 603 of the 610 records. The rest sit in smaller regions you can still filter to inside the app.

The 285 with no website are the ones to call first

47% of dentists in Norway run on a Maps listing and nothing else. None of that is a gap in our data. It is the pitch.

A business with no website has told you three things at once. It has no agency. It has no marketing budget line to defend. And whoever you reach owns the decision, because there is nobody else to ask.

Filter the file to that group and you cut 610 rows to 285. That leaves 325 who already bought a site from somebody. Every rival list sells you both groups mixed together.

In the app this is one switch. Open the Dentist category, pick Norway, tick No website, and export. The count in the corner updates before you press anything.

47% with no website is high for a trade this well paid. Some of those rows are one dentist working inside a bigger clinic. Open ten of them before you pitch the group.

The rest are real gaps. A patient choosing an implant clinic reads for a week first. A map pin with no page to click loses that patient to the clinic down the road.

One more number worth holding. Only 45% of these dentists have claimed their listing. 333 of them have never logged in at all, which means anyone can suggest an edit to their hours and they will not see it. Pair that with the 285 with no site and you have the sharpest list in the file.

Norway draws the line at the address, not the business

The four Nordic countries do not share one rule on business e-mail. They disagree with each other, and Norway is a case in point.

Norwegian marketing law requires prior consent before you e-mail a natural person. A company is not a natural person, so a role address such as post@firma.no sits outside that rule.

The regulator reads that rule harder than most people expect. A named work address counts as a natural person. ola.nordmann@firma.no needs consent. It still needs consent when the company itself registered that address as its own contact.

So the practical rule in Norway is simple. Role addresses by e-mail, named people by phone. The phone column matters more here than anywhere else in the Nordics, and this file is where you get it.

Whichever country you work, we keep a suppression list per account. Anyone who asks you to stop goes in it. The app then blocks that domain on every future export. None of this is legal advice. Read our full position on data and the law and take your own.

Two practical notes for working Norway

Norwegian business people read English without effort. They reply to Norwegian far more often. Write the first line in Norwegian even if the rest is in English.

Norwegian working hours are early. Offices thin out from three, and a trade is on site by seven.

Company details are public here. The Brønnøysund Register Centre is the national register of Norwegian businesses. Check a shortlist against it before you pitch anything expensive.

A sequence that works on dentists

Getting the list is the easy half. This is the sequence these lists are built for, written out in full so you can judge it before you sign up for anything. You run it in your own tool — we do not send anything.

  1. 1 Day 1 Email

Subject Who looks after your Maps listing?

Hi — I found your clinic while I was mapping dentists in Oslo.

Your listing has [their rating] stars and no owner behind it. That means anyone can edit your hours or your phone number.

Patients turn up to a locked door and then book somewhere else.

I fix these for clinics. One fee, one week. Reply "how much" and I will send the price. Reply "stop" and I will delete your details.

Filter to unclaimed rows before you send this. 45% have claimed the listing, and the claim is the whole point of the message. Send this to the role box, not to a named person. Norway treats a named work address as a person, and asks for consent first.

  2. 2 Day 4 Phone

Ring at 12:30, or after the last patient of the day. A dentist never answers between those two windows.

Ask for the practice manager by name. Give one sentence on why you called, then stop talking.

94% of this file has a number. The front desk picks it up, so write the call for the front desk.

  3. 3 Day 9 Email

Subject A checklist for the listing

Following up once, and this time with something you can use.

I wrote a one-page checklist of what a dental listing needs. Hours, booking link, insurers, photos of the room.

No sign-up and no call. Say "send it" and it is yours.

Give before you ask twice. A checklist costs you an hour and it buys the reply. Send this to the role box, not to a named person. Norway treats a named work address as a person, and asks for consent first.

  4. 4 Day 18 Email

    Subject Closing your file

Last note from me. I am closing your file today.

If the timing is wrong, say "spring" and I will come back then. Otherwise you will not hear from me again.

Clinics plan spending by the quarter. Give them a date to push you to, and a third of them will use it. Send this to the role box, not to a named person. Norway treats a named work address as a person, and asks for consent first.

The FindAndClose export panel screen, showing real records from the live index.
  1. It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
  2. CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
  3. 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
  4. Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
  5. The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
The export drawer. Thirty-four column groups write 64 columns, and every one of them is on every plan — including the €49 one. The shot is Norway → Plumber; run it for dentists in Norway and the same screen returns 610.

What lands in your export, and why the website column matters most here

Sixty-four columns per row, on every plan. Everything on this page comes out of six of them.

The file arrives as CSV or XLSX. One row per business, 610 rows for this list, and no row limit on any plan. Here is how full each column actually is for these dentists, so you can plan the campaign before you pay for it.

  • Name, address, postcode, region and coordinates — all 610 rows
  • Phone — 576 rows, 94% of the file
  • Email, with the page we found it on — 183 rows, 30%
  • Website — 325 rows, and 285 flagged as having none
  • Rating and review count — 377 rows carry a rating, averaging 4.6
  • Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn — 150, 115 and 80 rows
  • Owner has claimed the listing — 277 rows, 45%
  • Opening hours, price level, the Maps category tree, first seen and last seen

This list is 610 rows. Every one of them fits inside a single month on the €49 Starter plan, which carries 10,000 lead credits.

Your export stays yours. Cancel tomorrow and the file you already downloaded is still on your machine and still in your CRM. We do not delete customer exports, and we will not start.

Questions about the Norway dentist file

Does the file split private clinics from public ones?

Not as a column. Maps does not publish who owns a clinic, and we do not guess at fields we cannot see.

You get the name, the website, the hours and the rating. Sort by name and the groups clump together, because clinics in a group share a brand.

Are orthodontists and dental labs in this count?

No. This page counts the Dentist category and nothing else.

Maps files orthodontists and dental labs under their own categories. You can pull those in the same search. Starter combines 25 categories at a time, and Scale has no cap.

Dentists hear from a lot of sellers. Why buy the list at all?

Because the list is not the hard part. The cut is. Everyone selling to dentists has a list of dentists.

Almost nobody has the 285 with no website, or the rows nobody has claimed. Those two filters turn 610 names into a week of real calls.

How current is the 610?

The count on this page comes out of the live database, and the date beside it is the last time we saw these rows on Maps.

We re-crawl Norway on a rolling schedule. A business that closes drops out, and a new one appears, without you doing anything. Pull the list again in a month and the difference is the month's new openings.

Can I legally cold-email this list in Norway?

Role addresses, yes. Named ones, no, not without consent. Norwegian marketing law protects natural persons. The regulator counts a named work address as one, even when the company registered it itself.

So the phone column matters more here than the e-mail one. 576 of these rows carry a number. 183 carry an address. Call the named people and write to the role boxes. This is not legal advice, so check your own position first.
