Financial planner email list: firms, not names

A financial planner sells regulated advice. That one rule decides what a list of them can and cannot hold. Start with the honest version.

Coverage first, and a count we do not have

Say what we hold before you plan a campaign around it.

FindAndClose sells local business lists built from Google Maps. We cover four countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

Financial planning is not one of our tracked trades yet. So we publish no live count for it, and we will not guess one.

That honesty is the point. Every count on this site is a real query, dated. Where we lack one, we say so.

You can still pull the category in the app. Pick it, pick a country, and the count shows before you spend a credit.

Need a US or global planner list? We are the wrong shop. A worldwide scraper fits that job. Our Outscraper review is honest about where they win.

The FindAndClose search results screen, showing real records from the live index.
  1. Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
  2. Pick the place Country, region, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
  3. The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
  4. Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
  5. Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
  6. Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.
The Search screen, signed in, querying the live index. This shot is Norway → Plumber, and the 605 on it is the same 605 the plumber page counts. One query, no sampling, no estimate.

What regulated advice does to your list

Financial advice sits behind a licence. You feel that rule in every row.

Anyone can call themselves a consultant. Nobody can give financial advice without authorisation. The trade sits behind a register.

That shapes the contact you can reach. Advice firms route outside mail through a shared inbox, not a named adviser.

Compliance is why. A regulated adviser cannot answer a stray sales email off their own bat. The firm controls the channel.

  • The address on a Maps listing is the firm inbox, not one planner.
  • A larger firm has a marketing or operations lead who screens it.
  • A sole adviser reads their own mail, but replies within firm rules.
  • Named adviser inboxes are rarely on a public listing at all.

So plan for firm-level outreach. If you need named inboxes, our email-finding guide ranks the methods and their failure rates.

This is not a weakness of the file. It is the shape of a regulated trade, and knowing it saves you a wasted campaign.

The referral network is the real market

Planners do not grow by cold ads. They grow by introduction.

A financial planner earns trust before they earn a client. Trust travels by referral, not by billboard.

So the people around a planner matter more than the planner alone. Three trades feed them work.

  • Accountants send clients who need advice at a tax or sale moment.
  • Lawyers refer at divorce, probate and business exit.
  • Estate agents and mortgage brokers meet clients at a money milestone.

If you sell to planners, this network is your angle. A tool that helps a planner win or serve referrals sells itself.

And if you sell TO the network, the same file logic applies next door. Our accountant list is the deepest of these neighbour files.

The Norwegian accountant file holds 851 firms, 191 with an email. It is the referral trade with the most coverage we track. See accountants in Norway.

A cadence that respects the compliance gate

Written for someone selling software or services to advice firms. Short, plain, opt-out first. Run it in your own tool — we build lists and send nothing.

  1. 1 Day 1 Email

Subject for whoever handles vendors at [firm name]

Hi. I found [firm name] on Google Maps — [one real detail you checked].

I work with advice firms on [your offer in one plain line]. No advice, no client data — just the back office.

Worth a look? If not, reply stop and I will not write again.

The firm inbox is screened, so name the vendor role, not an adviser. Saying you never touch client data clears the first compliance worry.

  2. 2 Day 5 Phone

Call mid-morning, once the diary of client meetings starts.

Ask reception one thing: who signs off tools like [category], and when do they take a call?

Take the name and the window, then go. Do not pitch the gatekeeper.

Advice firms run on booked meetings. Reception knows the buyer and the free hour, and a named errand beats a cold pitch.

  3. 3 Day 11 Email

    Subject the one-pager, price included

As promised, the short version: what it does, what it costs, what it never touches.

Two firms that use it: [link]. Nothing here needs a compliance sign-off to trial.

If it is a no, reply stop and I will close your file.

A regulated buyer fears the review cycle. Showing the price and the scope up front removes the reason to stall.

  4. 4 Day 18 Email

    Subject closing your file

No reply needed — I will stop writing and close your file today.

If it becomes useful at your next review, my details are below.

Advice firms buy on a review calendar, not on a whim. The clean breakup is what they dig out when that review lands.

The FindAndClose export panel screen, showing real records from the live index.
  1. It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
  2. CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
  3. 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
  4. Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
  5. The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
The export drawer. Thirty-four column groups write 64 columns, and every one of them is on every plan — including the €49 one.

Questions about financial planner lists

Does the email reach a named adviser?

Rarely. The address on a listing is the firm inbox, screened by operations or reception.

That is normal for a regulated trade. Write so the message is worth forwarding to the buyer inside the firm.

Why is there no live count for financial planners?

Because it is not one of our tracked trades yet. Every count we publish is a dated query against our file.

We will not pad this page with a guess. You can still search and export the category in the app today.

Who buys a financial planner list?

Back-office software vendors, compliance tools, recruiters and referral partners like accountants and lawyers.

The safest pitch never touches advice or client data. It helps the firm run, not the adviser advise.

Is cold email to advice firms legal in the Nordics?

B2B outreach in the EEA usually rests on legitimate interest under the GDPR. Say who you are and offer an opt-out in the first line.

National e-marketing rules differ. Our GDPR guide walks through it. It is not legal advice.

Can I filter regulated firms from unregulated ones?

Not with a database flag. Maps does not carry an authorisation field, and we do not invent one.

Filter our file to a shortlist first. Then check that shortlist against the national register for the licence.
