Acceptable use: what you may and may not do with an export

Plain-English summary of what the terms mean day to day. The terms of service are the binding version.

What you may do

• Contact the businesses in the file, subject to the rules for your jurisdiction.
• Load it into your CRM, your mail tool, your dialler, your BI stack.
• Enrich it, merge it with your own data, keep it as long as you need it.
• Analyse it — market sizing, territory planning, competitive research.
• Use it for a client, if you are an agency, for that client's own outreach.
• Keep everything you exported, permanently, including after you cancel.

What you may not do

• Resell or redistribute the data as data. Selling the file, publishing it as a directory, or bundling it into a product whose value is the data itself is the one hard line. Using it to sell your product is exactly what it is for; selling it is not.
• Share one account across an organisation to avoid paying for the volume you actually use.
• Publish the raw data in a way that recreates a public directory of contact details.
• Use it for harassment, fraud, or to build a profile of an individual rather than to contact a business.
• Ignore a removal request. If someone asks to be removed you must honour it in your own systems — removal requests.
• Scrape our app. The API exists, and it is cheaper for both of us.
• Circumvent the credit system, including by running multiple accounts to collect repeated free trials.

Training AI models

Using an export to fine-tune or train a model that reproduces the data — a model that can be asked for contact details and answers — falls under redistribution and is not permitted. Using the data with a model to draft outreach, classify businesses or prioritise a list is ordinary use and is fine. The MCP server exists precisely for the second case.

What we do not sell at all

We index businesses, not people. There is no consumer database, no personal email addresses unconnected to a business, and no special-category data. If a use case needs any of those, we are not the vendor.

If we think a use is out of bounds

We will ask first. Almost everything that looks like abuse turns out to be a script in a retry loop or a team that grew without anyone thinking about it. Where it is not, we suspend exports rather than deleting an account, so nothing you legitimately exported is lost while it is sorted out.
