What the database holds right now
Last refreshed
Counted straight out of the production database on the date above — 337 rows for driving schools in Norway, 279 of them carrying a rating. We do not estimate these, and we do not round them up.
Who buys a list of driving schools
A small list of owners who all buy the same four things.
97% have a phone number and 53% have an email. Both channels work, which is rare. Nothing on this list is hard to reach.
85% have claimed the listing, and that is high. A school lives on reviews from seventeen-year-olds, so the owner checks Maps most weeks.
They buy four things. Diary and booking software, lead sites, cars on finance, and local ads. The rules decide the rest of the spend, so those four are the market.
The market is small. 337 schools in the whole country. Treat it as 337 named accounts, not a list to blast.
One thing to know before you buy. 53% of these rows carry an e-mail, which is high for a local trade. Email is a real channel here, not a fallback. Plan the campaign around it.
50 of the 337, with nothing hidden
Sorted by review count, so the busiest driving schools in Norway are at the top — Terje Solbakken Trafikkskole AS leads on 475 reviews. 29 of these 50 already carry an e-mail address, which is unusually good for a local trade. No signup and no e-mail wall — the addresses and phone numbers themselves arrive in your export, and that part is the product.

Where they are
Norway splits into regions, and so does the file. Pick one region and you cut 337 rows down to a list you can work through in a week.
| Region | Records | With email | No website | Share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oslo | 81 | 49 | 10 | 24% |
| Vestland | 70 | 46 | 17 | 21% |
| Akershus | 47 | 26 | 2 | 14% |
| Trøndelag | 36 | 25 | 5 | 11% |
| Buskerud | 28 | 15 | 3 | 8% |
| Agder | 27 | 2 | 1 | 8% |
| Rogaland | 21 | 14 | 1 | 6% |
| Troms | 13 | 1 | 3 | 4% |
| Møre og Romsdal | 11 | 0 | 0 | 3% |
The 9 regions above hold 334 of the 337 records. The rest sit in smaller regions you can still filter to inside the app.
The 43 with no website, and why there are so few
13% of driving schools in Norway run on a Maps listing and nothing else. None of that is a gap in our data. It is the pitch.
A business with no website has told you three things at once. It has no agency. It has no marketing budget line to defend. And whoever you reach owns the decision, because there is nobody else to ask.
Filter the file to that group and you cut 337 rows to 43. That leaves 294 who already bought a site from somebody. Every rival list sells you both groups mixed together.
In the app this is one switch. Open the Driving school category, pick Norway, tick No website, and export. The count in the corner updates before you press anything.
Only 13% have no website, and that makes sense. A pupil books a first lesson online at ten at night.
So the 43 without one are odd, and worth a look. Most are one instructor with a car and a phone. That is not a website sale. It is a booking page, and it closes fast because there is nobody else to ask.
One more number worth holding. 85% of these driving schools have claimed their listing, so most of the 43 you are about to call do log in somewhere. They chose not to build a site. That is a different conversation from one with an owner who has never been online.
Norway draws the line at the address, not the business
The four Nordic countries do not share one rule on business e-mail. They disagree with each other, and Norway is a case in point.
Norwegian marketing law requires prior consent before you e-mail a natural person. A company is not a natural person, so a role address such as post@firma.no sits outside that rule.
The regulator reads that rule harder than most people expect. A named work address counts as a natural person. ola.nordmann@firma.no needs consent. It still needs consent when the company itself registered that address as its own contact.
So the practical rule in Norway is simple. Role addresses by e-mail, named people by phone. The phone column matters more here than anywhere else in the Nordics, and this file is where you get it.
Whichever country you work, we keep a suppression list per account. Anyone who asks you to stop goes in it. The app then blocks that domain on every future export. None of this is legal advice. Read our full position on data and the law and take your own.
Two practical notes for working Norway
Norwegian business people read English without effort. They reply to Norwegian far more often. Write the first line in Norwegian even if the rest is in English.
Norwegian working hours are early. Offices thin out from three, and a trade is on site by seven.
Company details are public here. The Brønnøysund Register Centre is the national register of Norwegian businesses. Check a shortlist against it before you pitch anything expensive.
A sequence that works on driving schools
Getting the list is the easy half. This is the sequence these lists are built for, written out in full so you can judge it before you sign up for anything. You run it in your own tool — we do not send anything.
-
Call first. 97% of this file has a number, and the owner teaches, so try before nine.
Ask one thing: how does a pupil book a first lesson with you?
If the answer is "they ring me", you have the sale. If they name a system, ask which one.
Almost every row here has a number. The call is the cheapest step on this trade, so it goes first.
-
Subject That first lesson
Send this the day after, to the 180 rows with an address.
Three lines. What you asked, what they said, what you would change.
End with the opt-out. Reply "stop" and I will delete your details.
53% have an email. That is high for a local trade, so the written follow-up is worth sending. Send this to the role box, not to a named person. Norway treats a named work address as a person, and asks for consent first.
-
Subject Where your pupils come from
Short one. Most schools tell me the same thing. Word of mouth, and one price site.
The price site sells the same pupil to four schools. You pay for a lead, then win it twice.
Want to see what your own booking page does instead? Ten minutes.
Lead sites are the sore point in this trade. Name the thing they moan about and you get a reply. Send this to the role box, not to a named person. Norway treats a named work address as a person, and asks for consent first.
-
Subject Closing your file
Last note. I am closing your file today.
Do this in your quiet month, not your busy one. Say "later" and I will pick the date.
Driving schools book out over summer. Ask for a month, not a meeting. Send this to the role box, not to a named person. Norway treats a named work address as a person, and asks for consent first.
- It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
- CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
- 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
- Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
- The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
What lands in your export, on a file where the owners are paying attention
Sixty-four columns per row, on every plan. Everything on this page comes out of six of them.
The file arrives as CSV or XLSX. One row per business, 337 rows for this list, and no row limit on any plan. Here is how full each column actually is for these driving schools, so you can plan the campaign before you pay for it.
- Name, address, postcode, region and coordinates — all 337 rows
- Phone — 326 rows, 97% of the file
- Email, with the page we found it on — 180 rows, 53%
- Website — 294 rows, and 43 flagged as having none
- Rating and review count — 279 rows carry a rating, averaging 4.54
- Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn — 151, 103 and 9 rows

What people ask before buying the Norway driving school file
Is 337 every driving school in Norway?
It is every one on Maps under this category, as of our last crawl. A school that lives on a price site and never made a listing will not be here.
In this trade that gap is small. Pupils search Maps, so schools make sure they are on it. 85% have claimed the listing.
Can I see which schools use a booking system?
Not as a column. You get the website, and the booking system sits on the front page of it.
Run the 337 sites through your own checker. What comes back is a list of schools already paying a rival.
The market is tiny. Is a list worth buying?
That is the argument for it. 337 schools is an afternoon of research, done for you.
Every row has an address, a rating and a way to reach it. You can work the whole country in a fortnight.
How current is the 337?
The count on this page comes out of the live database, and the date beside it is the last time we saw these rows on Maps.
We re-crawl Norway on a rolling schedule. A business that closes drops out, and a new one appears, without you doing anything. Pull the list again in a month and the difference is the month's new openings.
Can I legally cold-email this list in Norway?
Role addresses, yes. Named ones, no, not without consent. Norwegian marketing law protects natural persons. The regulator counts a named work address as one, even when the company registered it itself.
So the phone column matters more here than the e-mail one. 326 of these rows carry a number. 180 carry an address. Call the named people and write to the role boxes. This is not legal advice, so check your own position first.
