Insurance agency email list: tied or independent

Two businesses share the word agency. One can say yes to you. One has to ask head office. Telling them apart is the first job.

Where this list stops, and a count we skip

The honest scope, before any argument about the trade.

FindAndClose builds local business lists from Google Maps. We cover Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland — nothing outside the Nordics.

Insurance is not one of our tracked trades yet. So this page carries no live count, and we will not invent one.

Every figure on this site is a dated query against our own file. Where we have none, we say so plainly.

The category is still searchable in the app. Pick it, pick a country, and the count appears before you spend a credit.

Selling to insurers in the US or beyond? A global scraper serves that better. Our Outscraper comparison says where they win and where they charge for it.

  1. Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
  2. Pick the place Country, county, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
  3. The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
  4. Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
  5. Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
  6. Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.

Tied agent or independent broker

One word, two trades. They buy nothing the same way.

A tied agent sells one insurer’s products. The systems, the pricing and the marketing come from head office.

That agent cannot buy a rival tool off their own desk. The stack is chosen upstream, far from the local branch.

An independent broker is the other animal. They place cover across many insurers and run their own book.

The broker owns the software choice, the lead source and the renewal process. The decision can happen the same week.

  • Pitch a tied branch a central tool, and the answer is "ask head office".
  • Pitch an independent broker, and one person can say yes.
  • Branch-level offers still land on tied agents: local events, hiring, signage.
  • A Maps row is a branch, not a head office. Treat it as one.

Sorting them is mechanical. A brand that repeats across ten towns is a tied network. A single name is likely a broker.

It is the same split we draw for gyms: chain badge on the door, or the owner on the floor.

The renewal cycle sets your timing

Insurance runs on a clock. The policy year decides when a broker will hear you.

A broker’s year peaks at renewal. Whole books of policies come up for review inside a few weeks.

In that window, the broker is heads-down with clients. A vendor email dies unread, like a pitch to an accountant at a deadline.

The buying happens in the quiet stretch between renewals. That is when a broker fixes what the last peak exposed.

  • Sell in the calm months, when the owner has time to test a tool.
  • Go quiet in the renewal crunch. A pitch then goes straight to the bin.
  • Retention tools are the easy opening, because churn at renewal is the fear.
  • New-business tools sell after the peak, when the pipeline looks thin.

Anchor your message to that clock and the same offer reads as a different one. The cold email guide has the mechanics.

A cadence timed around renewal

Written for someone selling software to independent brokers. Skip the tied branches. Run it in your own tool — we only build the list.

  1. 1 Day 1 (quiet season) Email

Subject before your next renewal peak

Hi. I found [agency name] on Maps — [one detail you checked, like reviews or their site].

I help independent brokers with [your offer in one plain line], set up before renewal, not during it.

Want to see it? If not, reply stop and I will not write again.

The renewal peak is a deadline every broker already dreads. Naming it does the urgency work without a fake timer.

  2. 2 Day 6 Phone

Call mid-morning, before the client calls stack up.

Open with the season: "how did the last renewal run go?" Every broker has a story there.

If it is a tied branch, they will tell you to call head office. Thank them and move on.

The renewal story is the broker’s sore spot. It opens a real talk, and it flushes out the tied branches fast.

  3. 3 Day 12 Email

Subject what it costs, in one screen

The whole offer in one place, price included: [link].

Brokers who use it: [names or link]. Setup finishes before your next peak.

If it is a no, reply stop and I will close your file.

A broker who owns the budget decides fast when nothing is hidden. A dated setup promise turns a maybe into a diary choice.

  4. 4 Day 20 Email

Subject closing your file before renewal

I will close your file now, so we both get on with the season.

If renewal exposes the gap, my details are below. Good luck with the book.

The breakup lands harder with a season behind it. If the next peak hurts, this is the email they dig out.

The FindAndClose export panel screen, showing real records from the live index.
  1. It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
  2. CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
  3. 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
  4. Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
  5. The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
The export drawer. Thirty-four column groups write 64 columns, and every one of them is on every plan — including the $49 one.

Questions about insurance agency lists

How do I split tied agents from independent brokers?

Sort the file by business name. A brand across many towns is a tied network with one head-office buyer.

A name that appears once is likely an independent broker who owns the decision. Send your main pitch there.

Why is there no live count for insurance?

It is not one of our tracked trades yet. Every count we publish is a dated query against our file.

We will not pad this page with a guess. The category is still searchable and exportable in the app.

When should I pitch an insurance broker?

In the quiet stretch between renewal peaks, when the owner can test a tool.

Avoid the renewal crunch. The broker is buried in client reviews and will not read a vendor email.

Can the email reach a named agent?

Usually it reaches the agency inbox, not one agent. At a small brokerage that inbox is often the owner.

Write short enough to forward. Our list-building guide covers what a shared inbox means for your send.

Is cold email to brokers legal in the Nordics?

B2B outreach in the EEA usually rests on legitimate interest under the GDPR. Identify yourself and offer an opt-out up front.

The national rules differ by country. Our GDPR guide walks through it. It is not legal advice.
