Painter email list: the season and the paint account
Exterior work has a season, and the paint runs through a trade account. Those two facts set when you pitch a painter and how you reach them. This page works both.

What we hold, said plainly
The honest map of the file, before you plan on it.
FindAndClose builds local business lists from Google Maps. We cover Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and nothing beyond. For a US or global painter list, a worldwide tool like Outscraper is the better buy.
Inside those four countries, here is the painter file today.
- Denmark: 304 painters, 10 with an email on file.
- Norway: 247 rows — under our 300-record floor, so no page yet.
- Sweden: 228 rows. Same floor, same answer.
Only Denmark clears the floor, so only Denmark gets a page. Norway and Sweden get theirs when the crawl deepens, not before. We would rather show nothing than pad a thin file.
- Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
- Pick the place Country, county, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
- The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
- Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
- Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
- Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.
A trade with two seasons in one year
Painting is not one job. It is exterior work in the warm months and interior work in the cold ones, and the swing sets your calendar.
Exterior painting needs dry walls and mild air. In the Nordics that means a short window from late spring to early autumn. Every exterior job in the country competes for the same weeks.
Winter flips the trade indoors. Rooms, stairwells, offices, repaints. The work is steadier, but the big outdoor jobs wait until spring.
For anyone selling to this trade, the lesson is timing.
- The exterior season is the rush. A painter in July has no minute for a vendor.
- Late winter is the planning window. The owner is quoting the spring book and has time to think.
- Owners decide big outdoor contracts months ahead, in the quiet stretch.
- A pitch in the peak weeks goes straight to the bin, unread.
So sell into the calm and go quiet in the rush. A painter plans the season before it starts, and that is your window.
The nearest tracked neighbour tells the same seasonal story from the other side of the roof. Our carpenter file runs on the same building diary, and both trades buy their materials the same way.
The paint account: the one lane email survives
Even a phone-first painter uses email for one thing, and it is buying paint.
A painter buys colour every week. Trade paint, primer, filler, rollers, tape, sheeting. Most of it runs through a trade account at a paint merchant.
That account is the one lane where a painter reads email. Tinting confirmations, price lists, a new range, a delivery slot. The inbox becomes a work tool the moment it carries the paint order.
So the seller who reaches painters by email is usually a supplier.
- Paint brands and merchants write in the lane the painter already reads.
- A price on a colour they buy every job beats any subject-line trick.
- A call confirms the account the email opened, not the reverse.
- Software and agencies do better on the phone, with email to follow up.
If you sell to painters and you are not a supplier, steal the supplier’s move. Make the first email as useful as a trade price list, or the phone-first half never opens it.
What the Danish file shows
Counted from our own database on 26 July 2026. No estimates, no rounding up.
Denmark is our only painter page, and the numbers tell you why this is a phone trade.
- 304 painters on Maps, open and trading.
- 96% carry a phone number. The phone is the trade’s front door.
- 10 carry an email — 3% of the file.
- 114 have no website at all — 38%.
- 65% have claimed their Maps listing.
- The average rating is 4.54 stars.
Read the phone line against the email line. You can call almost every row today. You can email almost none of them.
The little email there is sits in the capital
All 10 of the Danish email addresses sit in the Capital Region. South Denmark and Central Jutland carry none.
So the written leg of a Danish campaign is tiny, and it is a capital-city leg. The rest of the country is a phone list, plain and simple.
This is not a gap in our crawl to apologise for. It is the trade. A painter with a van and a ladder has no reason to publish an inbox.
For the row-level view — names, areas, flags — the Denmark painter page shows 50 rows free.
A pre-season cadence for a paint supplier
Written for a paint brand or merchant recruiting painters onto a trade account. Time it to the quiet weeks before the exterior season. Run it in your own tool — we do not send anything.

Subject trade prices before the spring book
Hi [name] — I supply trade paint to painters in [region], and I am writing before your season starts.
The lines worth checking against what you pay now are [product] and [product]. Prices are below.
If it is not for you, reply stop and that is the end of it.
A painter reads the paint lane, and reads it hardest before the season. A price list in late winter lands while there is still time to switch account.
-
Call at 07:10, before the van leaves. A painter answers early or not at all.
One question: who do you buy your trade paint from today?
Whatever they say, offer to open an account so the first tin is ready for spring.
96% of our Danish painter rows carry a phone. The early call turns the price email into a real account, before the season swallows their week.
-
Subject your account is ready for the first job
The account is open whenever you want it. Nothing to sign today.
Try one order on the first exterior job and judge us on it. I will handle it myself.
A yes, or a stop, and either way I have my answer.
A small first order removes the risk of switching supplier in the busy weeks. Let them test you on one job, at a size that cannot hurt the book.
-
Subject last one from me
I will close your file today and stop writing.
If a delivery lets you down or a tint goes wrong, my number is below. Good luck with the season.
Painters switch merchant on a bad delivery, not on a pitch. The breakup leaves your number where they look the day a batch arrives wrong.
- It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
- CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
- 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
- Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
- The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
Painter list questions, answered from the file
Why is the painter email coverage so low?
Because it is what we counted: 10 emails across 304 Danish painters, which is 3% of the file. We publish the number rather than smooth it.
This is a van-and-ladder trade with no office. Plan the phone as your main channel, and treat the few emails as a bonus.
When should I pitch a painter?
In the quiet weeks of late winter, while they quote the spring book and still have time to think.
The worst time is the exterior season itself. Every warm, dry week is booked solid, and your message dies unread.
Who gets replies from painters by email?
Suppliers, mostly. Paint brands and merchants write in the one lane a painter already reads: the trade account.
Everyone else does better on the phone, with email as the follow-up. The inbox is a work tool here only for buying paint.
Why does Denmark have a page but Norway and Sweden do not?
Because only Denmark clears our 300-record floor, at 304 painters. Norway holds 247 rows and Sweden 228, both under the line.
The rows are searchable and exportable in the app today. The pages ship when the crawl deepens past the floor, not before.
When does a painter answer the phone?
Before the van leaves in the morning, or after they clean the brushes at night. Mid-day they are up a ladder.
The early call is the good one. You reach them before the day on site has started to run.
Is a one-person painting firm a business or a consumer under the rules?
It depends on the country and on how the firm is set up. Some national rules treat sole traders like consumers for marketing email.
You cannot tell the legal form from a Maps listing, so treat every row with consumer-grade care. The GDPR guide walks through it. It is not legal advice.
