Used-car dealer email list: the independent lot
A used-car lot lives on two things: how fast the stock turns, and what the reviews say. Pitch to those, not to the brand banner it does not have. Nordics only.
Covers Norway, Sweden, Denmark and FinlandNo live count — used-car dealers are not a tracked trade yetA cadence for an owner who works the forecourt
Not a franchise, and it changes everything
A used-car lot answers to no brand. That single fact separates it from the new-car showroom.
FindAndClose covers Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, from our own Google Maps crawl. The whole file holds 44,684 records. For a US or global list, a worldwide tool like Outscraper is the better buy.
A franchised new-car dealer signs a contract, runs a mandated system and reports to a brand office. An independent used-car lot has none of that.
So the owner is the whole business. They buy the stock, set the price, meet the buyer and answer the phone. There is no marketing manager to email, because the owner is the marketing manager too.
That makes this a phone-and-forecourt trade, closer to a plumber than to a showroom. Plan for it.
- Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
- Pick the place Country, county, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
- The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
- Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
- Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
- Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.
Margin is thin, so stock turn is the whole game
A used-car dealer does not earn much per car. It earns by selling the same money many times.
Buy a car, tidy it, sell it, buy the next. The margin on each is slim, so the lot lives on speed. A car that sits is money frozen on the forecourt.
That speed obsession sets what the owner cares about.
- Stock that turns fast. Slow metal is dead capital.
- Cheap, quick reconditioning. Every day in the workshop is a day not selling.
- Cash flow and floor-plan finance. The stock is often bought on borrowed money.
- Listings that sell. The car has to be seen to move.
So your buyer list here is different from the new-car one. Floor-plan and stocking finance sell into it. So do auction and wholesale platforms, warranty providers and reconditioning services. Listing marketplaces and reputation tools do too.
Each one speaks to turn. "Sell the same car three days sooner" is the whole pitch, said four ways.
Reviews are life and death here
A used car is a trust purchase, and the buyer checks the reviews before the forecourt.
Nobody worries a new car from a franchise is a dud. The brand carries the risk. A used car from an independent lot is different. The buyer is trusting a stranger with real money.
So they read the reviews first. A lot with a bad score bleeds buyers before anyone walks in. A lot with a strong score sells the same car for more.
This makes the Maps rating the trade’s most-watched number. If you sell reputation, review-gathering or booking tools, the pitch writes itself.
One caution. The average rating in our file is a figure about the whole file, not about any one lot. Never drop it into a message to a single dealer, where it is wrong for most of them. Look up that lot’s own rating and speak to that.
We do not track used-car dealers as a category yet, so this page shows no count. When we do, the rating column will be the first thing worth sorting on.
What we can and cannot show today
Honest is the brand. Here is exactly what backs a number and what does not.
Used-car dealers are not one of our 27 tracked trades, so there is no live count on this page. We publish counts only where our file backs them, dated.
What we can give you is the ground the trade stands on.
- Our four countries hold 44,684 local business records in total.
- Email coverage across our tracked trades: Norway 38%, Sweden 19%, Denmark 17%, Finland 16%.
- Phone coverage runs far ahead of email in every trade we track, and a one-owner lot is a phone trade.
Assume used-car lots sit near those country rates, and lower than an office trade, until a real count lands. Build a phone plan for most of the file and a written plan for the slice that carries an address.
The app already searches the used-car category on Maps. Pick it and the count shows before you export. The find-email guide ranks the ways to get a named inbox when the row has none.
A stock-turn cadence for the forecourt
Written for someone selling floor-plan finance, listings or reconditioning to independent lots. Sell speed. Run it in your own tool — we do not send anything.
-
Call late morning, after the forecourt is set up and before lunch trade.
Ask for the owner. On an independent lot, the person who answers usually is the owner.
One question: how many days does an average car sit on your forecourt before it sells?
Days-to-sell is the number that keeps a lot owner awake. Ask it and you sound like someone who has run a forecourt, not someone reading a script.

Subject shaving days off the forecourt
Hi [name] — good to talk. As promised, here is how [your offer] moves stock faster.
One line that matters: cars listed with [what you do] tend to sell sooner, which frees the cash for the next buy.
Not for you? Reply stop and that is the end of it.
The call earns the email. A promised message from a real person gets opened, where a cold one from a firm gets binned.
-
Subject your slowest car right now
Following up once. Think of the car that has sat longest on your lot today.
That is the one [your offer] is built for. Try it on that single unit and judge us on the result.
Reply yes to start, or stop to close the file.
A single slow car is a low-risk test the owner can picture. It turns an abstract pitch into one specific unit that is costing money now.
-
Subject last one from me
I will close your file today and stop writing.
When a car sits too long and ties up your cash, my number is below. Good luck with the next auction run.
A lot owner switches suppliers on a slow month, not on a slick pitch. The breakup leaves your number for the week the forecourt stalls.
- It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
- CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
- 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
- Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
- The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
Used-car dealer list questions, answered straight
How is a used-car dealer list different from a car dealer one?
A new-car dealer is a franchise with an office, a brand contract and staff who read email. An independent used lot is often one owner on a forecourt.
So the used list is a phone-first list, and your pitch is about stock turn and reviews, not finance attach rate.
Why does the average rating matter so much for this trade?
A used car is a trust buy from a stranger, so the buyer reads the reviews before they visit. A weak score loses the sale before the forecourt.
If you sell reputation tools, that is your opening. Sort the file by rating when a real count is live.
Can I use the file’s average rating in my emails?
No. It is a figure about the whole file, not about the one lot you are writing to. For most dealers it would be wrong, and you would send the error, not us.
Look up each lot’s own rating and speak to that. The cold email guide shows how to write from a real, per-row fact.
Why is there no count on this page?
Used-car dealers are not one of our 27 tracked trades yet, so we hold no live count to publish. We will not invent one.
The app searches the category on Maps, and the count shows there before you export a single row.
