Air-conditioning contractor email list: a small trade in a cold market

Be honest about this one. Air conditioning is a smaller trade in the Nordics than in the US. Heating and heat pumps rule a cold country. The cooling that exists leans commercial. That changes the whole list.

The honest size of this trade up here

Start with the truth, because it saves you money.

Air conditioning is a big trade in the US. In the Nordics it is not. Summers are short and homes stay cool without help. Most households never fit cooling at all.

The trade that dominates here is heating. Our heating page covers the heat-pump boom that owns the market. Cooling sits in its shadow.

So set your expectations before you buy. FindAndClose covers Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, from our own Google Maps crawl. If you want a US cooling list — where this trade is huge — we are the wrong tool. A global scraper such as Outscraper fits that job.

And one more honest line. We do not track an air-conditioning category, so this page carries no live count. We name that gap rather than fill it with a guess.

  1. Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
  2. Pick the place Country, county, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
  3. The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
  4. Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
  5. Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
  6. Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.

Where the cooling demand actually is

The homes stay cold on their own. The buildings that pay for cooling are commercial.

Think about what still needs cooling in a cold country. It is not the living room. It is the server room.

  • Data centres run hot all year and cannot fail. Cooling is life support, not comfort.
  • Offices and shops fit cooling for staff and stock, on a fit-out budget.
  • Restaurants and food firms need refrigeration and kitchen cooling.
  • Hotels and gyms cool busy rooms full of people.

So the cooling trade here skews commercial. The customer is a building, not a family. The buyer is the person who runs that building.

One overlap muddies the map. Modern heat pumps cool as well as heat, so a "cooling" job is often a reversible heat pump fitted by a heating firm. Search the heating category too, or you skip half the market.

A commercial trade buys on a longer clock

Sell to buildings and you sell to a process, not a person in a van.

The heating trade is phone-first and fast. A boiler dies and someone rings the first number. Cooling is the opposite kind of sale.

A commercial cooling job goes through a spec, a quote and a sign-off. It can take weeks. The firms that win this work keep an office, and an office reads email.

  • The decision has more than one person in it. Plan for a slow yes.
  • The pitch is technical. A spec sheet does more than a slogan.
  • Reference sites matter. "We cool three data halls in [city]" opens the door.
  • Email fits the office rhythm far better than a cold call does.

For your list, that means email-first, and patience. The cold email guide has the message shape. Treat this as a considered B2B sale, not a spray.

What we hold, and how to find them

No cooling count exists in our file, so lean on the neighbour trades and the app.

We publish counts only where our tracked file backs them. Cooling is not tracked, so we show you the ground instead.

  • Our four countries hold 44,684 local business records in total.
  • Email coverage across our tracked trades: Norway 38%, Sweden 19%, Denmark 17%, Finland 16%.
  • A commercial trade tends to sit above its country email rate. Commercial firms keep a public contact page.

The nearest counted neighbour is the electrician. Commercial and data-centre cooling pulls in electrical and mechanical firms. Our file holds 602 electricians in Norway and 360 in Sweden.

To find the cooling firms themselves, search the app. Pick the air-conditioning and heat-pump categories, pick a country, and the count shows before you spend a credit. In a small trade, seeing the real number first is the whole point.

A cadence for a commercial cooling sale

Written for someone selling cooling kit, parts or service contracts to commercial installers. Slow, technical, email-led. Run it in your own tool — we send nothing.

  1. 1 Day 1 Email

Subject cooling spec for [firm name]

Hi — we supply [cooling product] to commercial installers, and I found your firm on Maps.

One spec sheet is attached, with the sites we already cool in [region].

Worth a look for your next tender? If not, reply stop and I will delete your details.

Commercial buyers judge on the spec, not the pitch. Leading with a document and a reference site treats them like the technical firm they are.

  2. 2 Day 6 Phone

Call mid-morning, once the crew is out and the office is quiet.

One question: what are you fitting on your next commercial cooling job?

The answer tells you if your kit fits, and whether a quote is worth building.

This trade keeps office hours, so a mid-morning call reaches a person who can talk. The question qualifies the job without a hard sell.

  3. 3 Day 14 Email

Subject a quote for the [site type] job

Here is a costed option for the job we discussed, with lead times.

No commitment. Take one order and judge the delivery on it.

If the timing is wrong, say stop and I will close your file.

A first small order removes the risk of switching supplier. Commercial firms guard their delivery record, so let them test you at a safe size.

  4. 4 Day 28 Email

Subject closing the file for now

I will close your file today, so this is the last note.

When your next commercial cooling job lands, my number is below. Good luck with the tender.

Commercial work arrives in lumps. The firm quiet today may be busy next quarter, and this note is what they search their inbox for then.

The FindAndClose export panel screen, showing real records from the live index.
  1. It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
  2. CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
  3. 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
  4. Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
  5. The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.
The export drawer. Thirty-four column groups write 64 columns, and every one of them is on every plan — including the $49 one.

Air-conditioning list questions, answered honestly

Is air conditioning a big trade in the Nordics?

No, and we will not pretend it is. Summers are short and most homes never fit cooling. Heating is the trade that dominates a cold market.

The cooling demand that exists leans commercial: data centres, offices, shops and food firms. Plan the list around buildings, not homes.

Why is there no live count on this page?

Because air conditioning is not one of our tracked categories. Every count we publish comes from our own dated file, and we do not fill gaps with guesses.

You can still see the real number in the app. Pick the cooling category, pick a country, and the count shows before you export.

Are cooling firms and heat-pump firms the same businesses?

Often, yes. A modern heat pump cools as well as heats, so a heating firm may do your cooling job on a reversible unit.

Search the heating category alongside cooling, or you miss half the trade. Our heating page explains the overlap.

What is the best channel for these contractors?

Email, in most cases. This is a commercial, office-hours trade, and the decision runs through a spec and a sign-off.

A cold call can work as a follow-up, but the first move is a written spec. Treat it as a slow B2B sale.

Do you cover US air-conditioning contractors?

No. We cover Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and nothing else. In the US this trade is far larger than it is here.

For US or global coverage, use a general scraper. Our Outscraper review is an honest look at the strongest one.
