The best Google Maps scrapers, ranked by the job in front of you

There is no best scraper. There is a best scraper for your job. Eight tools, every price read off the vendor’s own site, and our own bias declared up front.

We make one of these toolsWe cover four Nordic countriesEvery rival win marked

How this list was ranked

A vendor wrote this page, so read the method before the ranking. The method is the honest part.

We build FindAndClose, a Google Maps index for Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. That is our whole map. If you sell into the US or the rest of the world, several tools below beat us, and we say which.

Every figure here came off the vendor’s own site. We checked them on 26 and 27 July 2026 for our per-tool pages, and each ranking below links to the full comparison.

The ranking is by job fit, not by score. A tool that is wrong for your job is not made right by a feature list.

Short version. Global one-offs: Outscraper. A global index: Scrap.io. Nordic depth on a flat plan: us. Custom builds: Apify. The rest fill narrower jobs.

1 · Outscraper — best for one-off pulls, worldwide

If you need one list from one place, once, this is the strongest pick in the field.

Outscraper charges as you go, with no monthly fee at all. The first 500 places in a 30-day window cost nothing.

Above that it is $3 per 1,000 records. Past 100,000 records the rate drops to $1 per 1,000. At high volume that is cheap, and nobody on this page beats it.

It reaches far past Maps too. Reviews, emails, images, Amazon and Trustpilot each have their own scraper. The API is the real product, and developers rate it.

The cost is the workflow. Jobs queue and run, and you cap the rows up front rather than reading a count first.

Best for

  • A one-off scrape of any country on earth
  • Big volumes, where $1 per 1,000 wins outright
  • Developers who live in an API

The full row-by-row table is on the Outscraper comparison.

2 · Scrap.io — best global index

The closest thing to a category leader. We copied their export schema on purpose.

Scrap.io launched in 2021 and covers 195 countries. It pulls from three map platforms: Google, Apple and Bing. It carries 4,000+ business categories and lets you count results before you spend a credit.

Entry is $49 a month for 10,000 credits, with a 7-day trial of 100 leads and no card. It ships a REST API and an MCP server.

Two catches, both real. A whole-country search sits on their $499 monthly plan. And their help centre says exports are removed when your subscription ends.

Best for

  • An index-style tool anywhere outside the Nordics
  • Teams that want Apple and Bing data beside Google
  • AI-agent workflows, through their MCP server

We argue our side on the Scrap.io comparison, and we mark every row they win.

3 · FindAndClose — best for the Nordics

Ours. Third on a global list, first if your market is Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland.

We hold 44,684 records across the four Nordic countries, crawled from Google Maps into one deduplicated index. You filter a trade and a country, read the count on screen, and export.

The plan is flat. €49 a month buys 10,000 lead credits, and every plan searches a whole country with every filter. There is no geography upsell and no setup: no actors, no Phantoms, no grids to configure.

Every export carries the same 64 columns, with an MX check on each email domain and the source page beside each address. Cancel, and the files you pulled stay yours.

The honest limits: four countries, Google Maps only, and no LinkedIn, ever. Email coverage is 38% in Norway and 19% in Sweden. Denmark reads 17% and Finland 16%. We print those rates rather than round them up.

Best for

  • Agencies and sellers working Nordic local businesses
  • Anyone who wants a count before any spend
  • Teams that want one flat bill and a schema that never moves

The trial is 14 days and 100 leads, with no card. Browse every list we publish or the plans.

4 · Apify — best for developers and custom crawls

The most powerful tool on this page, and the one that most needs an engineer.

Apify is a platform, not a list. Their store holds thousands of actors, and the Google Maps Scraper starts at $1.50 per 1,000 places. Write your own actor and it does whatever you want, on any site.

Plans start free with $5 of credit a month. Starter is $29, Scale is $199, Business is $999. Then come compute units, proxy traffic and storage, each priced per use.

The bill is hard to guess in advance, and someone has to own the runs. That someone is a developer.

Best for

  • Custom crawls and sites no packaged tool touches
  • Teams building a product, not a lead list
  • Engineers who want an open-source SDK

The full argument is on the Apify comparison. We concede a lot there, on purpose.

5 · PhantomBuster — best when LinkedIn is on the menu too

An automation platform with a Maps flow, not a Maps tool. That is a compliment and a warning.

PhantomBuster counts 2.5 million users since 2016. LinkedIn work is the heart of it: profile visits, connection requests and Sales Navigator exports. Its Maps flow exports a search, then visits each firm website for emails.

Plans meter hours. Entry is $56 a month on annual billing, with 20 to 300 hours of run time by tier. Run dry and the automations pause. Their own docs note that one Maps search returns at most 120 rows.

Every plan carries unlimited users and an MCP server. Both are strong calls, and we match neither.

Best for

  • Teams that automate LinkedIn and want Maps on the side
  • AI-agent workflows across many networks

The meter and the 120-row ceiling are unpacked on the PhantomBuster comparison.

6 · Lobstr.io — best for scheduled, multi-site feeds

A cloud crawler with real plumbing. If your job is a feed rather than a file, look here.

Lobstr runs saved scrapers, called squids, on a schedule from minutes to months. Runs go out with up to twenty parallel slots, and output lands in CSV, Google Sheets, S3 or SFTP.

Its Maps scraper returns 35 or more data points per listing, and one credit buys one unique result. It also ships a Python SDK, a CLI and an MCP server.

Mind the retention window: results sit on their servers for 7 to 28 days by plan. Download what you keep.

Best for

  • Data teams keeping feeds fresh from several sites
  • Workflows that end in S3 or a webhook, not a spreadsheet

The crawler-versus-index trade is written out on the Lobstr comparison.

7 · LeadSwift — best all-in-one, find and send

The most direct rival to a list tool, because it bundles the sending too.

LeadSwift hunts local businesses on demand, from Maps, Yelp and similar sources. It advertises decision-maker names and titles, then sends the cold email for you: sequences, rotation and a shared inbox.

Plans meter searches per day: one, five or twenty. Leads, contacts and exports are unlimited on every plan. Entry is $49.99 monthly, or $19.99 a month on annual billing, which undercuts everyone here.

The trade is the cap and the bundle. One search a day is tight for a team, and your list, sequences and replies all live in one vendor.

Best for

  • Solo founders who want one login that finds and sends
  • Buyers outside the Nordics on a small budget

Both meters are compared on the LeadSwift page.

8 · Browser extensions — best free start

Map Lead Scraper, G Maps Extractor, Leads Sniper and a dozen others. For 200 rows, they win.

An extension reads the Maps search on your screen and writes a CSV. G Maps Extractor gives 1,000 free credits a month with no card. Leads Sniper claims 60 or more fields and sells a lifetime licence. Map Lead Scraper offers a free monthly export allowance.

The limits are structural. One Maps search feeds a couple of hundred rows at most. The work runs on your machine and your IP. Overlapping searches hand you duplicates to merge yourself. And a Maps redesign breaks the reader until a patch ships.

Best for

  • A few hundred rows in one city, today, for almost nothing
  • Testing a niche before any real money goes in

We ship no extension, and we wrote up the whole class in the Chrome scraper comparison.

Pick in one minute

Match the tool to the sentence that sounds like your week.

  1. I need one list from one country, once. Outscraper. Pay as you go, first 500 places free.
  2. I work markets outside the Nordics, every week. Scrap.io. The biggest index, with the $499 country-search caveat.
  3. I work Nordic local businesses. FindAndClose. Deepest there, flat pricing, no setup, and the file stays yours.
  4. I have an engineer and an odd requirement. Apify. Rent an actor or write one.
  5. LinkedIn is half my outreach. PhantomBuster. Maps rides along.
  6. I need a scheduled feed into S3 or Sheets. Lobstr.io. Squids, slots and delivery hooks.
  7. I want one cheap tool that finds and sends. LeadSwift. Mind the searches-per-day cap.
  8. I need 200 rows today for nothing. A browser extension. Stop there if that is the whole job.

Questions people ask about this ranking

Which Google Maps scraper is best overall?

For a one-off pull anywhere on earth, Outscraper. For a standing index outside the Nordics, Scrap.io. For Nordic markets, us.

Any page that names one winner for every job is selling you something. This page is too, and that is why we show the method.

Which is the cheapest?

To start: a browser extension, or Outscraper’s free 500 places a month. The cheapest paid plan on this page is LeadSwift at $19.99 a month on annual billing.

Cheapest per row at bulk is Outscraper, at $1 per 1,000 past 100,000 records. Compare cost per usable row, not headline price.

Why is your own tool not ranked first?

Because most people searching this term sell outside the Nordics, and we cover four countries. Ranking ourselves first would be false for that reader.

Inside Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, we will argue hard that the index, the counts and the flat plan win.

Can any of these pull emails straight from Maps?

No. A Maps listing carries no email field, so every tool that returns one found it on the firm website.

Ask any vendor where their email column comes from. The full picture is in the email extractor guide.

Is scraping Google Maps legal?

The fields on a listing are public business data, published by the firm itself. For B2B contact in the EU, that sits under legitimate interest, with duties attached.

Name yourself, cite the source, offer an opt-out and honour it. Read the GDPR guide before a big send.

What about the official Google Places API?

It is first party and real time, and it belongs in products, not lists. It returns no email, and its terms restrict storing most content.

We compared it in full on the Places API page.
