Investment service email list: the firm, and its compliance gate

Wealth managers, brokers and fund firms sit behind a licence and a compliance desk. A list of them reaches the firm, never the portfolio manager. Plan for that.

Scope first, and the missing count

What we hold, before you spend a credit against it.

FindAndClose sells local business lists built from Google Maps. We cover Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and nowhere else.

Investment services are not a tracked trade in our file yet. So we carry no live count, and we will not fabricate one.

Every number on this site is a dated query against our own crawl. Where we have no query, the page tells you plainly.

The category still searches in the app. Pick it, pick a country, and the count shows before you export a single row.

For a US or global list of investment firms, a worldwide scraper is the right tool. Our Outscraper review says where a global crawl wins.

  1. Pick the trade Type it and take the match. One trade or twenty, on every plan.
  2. Pick the place Country, region, municipality, city. No plan gates the geography.
  3. The count moves first The number updates before you spend anything. Looking is free.
  4. Filter to the ones worth calling Has email, has phone, has a website, has a contact page. Combine them freely.
  5. Contacts are masked until export You can see a row exists and judge it. The address itself is the product.
  6. Export what you are looking at The file is exactly this filter set, with nothing dropped in between.

You are buying firms, not managers

Be honest about what a row is. It is an authorised firm, not the person who runs the money.

An investment service is a licensed firm: a wealth manager, a broker, an asset or fund manager. The licence sits on the firm, not the individual.

So the contact on a Maps listing is the firm’s public inbox. It is not the portfolio manager, and it is not the head of sales.

  • The named decision-makers are rarely on any public page.
  • The listing address routes to reception, operations or a shared box.
  • A larger house has a marketing or client-services team that reads it first.
  • The person moving markets never touches a cold inbox.

This is not a fault in the file. It is the shape of a regulated trade. Knowing it up front saves you a campaign aimed at a person you cannot reach.

If you need named inboxes, read how to find business email addresses first. It ranks the methods and their real failure rates.

Compliance is the real gatekeeper

Every regulated firm runs a function whose job is to control what comes in and goes out. Your email meets it.

A financial firm cannot let staff answer any stray sales email. Communications are logged, supervised and kept for the regulator.

So a vendor approach does not float to a manager’s desk. It stops at a screen that asks one question: is this safe to engage with?

  • Unsolicited mail is treated as a risk to manage, not a message to answer.
  • Anything touching client data or advice raises a flag at once.
  • A vague pitch from an unknown sender is the easiest thing in the world to delete.
  • A clear, specific, low-risk offer is the one that survives the screen.

So write for the compliance reader, not around them. Name your company, name the exact thing you do, and make the small first step obvious.

This is the opposite of a freelancer inbox. There, craft wins. Here, clarity and low risk win, because a cautious function is grading you.

Who actually buys from these firms

The winning angle is knowing which vendors a regulated house says yes to.

Investment firms buy a narrow set of things well, because the wrong vendor is a regulatory headache. That narrows your odds and sharpens your pitch.

  • Compliance and reporting tools, which solve the problem the firm fears most.
  • Market data and research feeds, which the desk needs to work at all.
  • Back-office, custody and fund-administration services.
  • Recruiters for regulated roles, where the talent pool is small and vetted.

If your offer sits in that set, lead with the compliance angle, not a growth angle. Safety is the language this buyer speaks.

If it does not, this is a slow list. A cautious firm rarely adopts a novel tool from a cold email, whatever the promise.

A formal cadence for a compliance-screened firm

Written for a vendor selling a compliant B2B service to investment firms. Specific, low-risk and patient. Run it in your own tool — we build lists and send nothing.

  1. 1 Day 1 Email

Subject [your category] for [firm name]

Hello. I am [name] at [company]. We provide [the exact service in one plain line] to regulated investment firms.

No client data or advice is involved, and a short call needs no commitment.

Who owns [the function you serve]? If this is not relevant, reply stop and I will remove your details.

The compliance reader screens for risk. Naming the company, stating no client data is touched, and asking for a routing lowers the flag your message would otherwise raise.

  2. 2 Day 8 Email

    Subject the one-page overview

Following up with the detail your compliance team will want.

Attached: what we do, who else in the sector uses it, and how we handle data. No sign-up needed to read it.

If the timing is wrong, reply stop and I will close the file.

A regulated buyer forwards documents to compliance before they act. Handing over the vetting pack early shortens the path a cautious firm has to walk.

  3. 3 Day 18 Phone

Call the main line and ask for operations or the vendor-management contact.

One question: what does your firm need from a new supplier before a first conversation?

Note the answer and follow it exactly. You are learning their process, not selling on the call.

Regulated firms have a set way to onboard vendors. Asking for it signals you are safe to deal with, which is the whole battle here.

  4. 4 Day 30 Email

    Subject closing the file

I will close your file today, so this is my last note.

If a review of [your category] comes up later, my details are below. Thank you for your time.

These firms buy on their own slow cycle, often at a review point. A calm, professional close leaves you findable when that cycle comes around.

The FindAndClose export panel screen, showing real records from the live index.
  1. It exports the whole result Every row the filter matched, not the page you happen to be looking at.
  2. CSV or XLSX Tab-separated UTF-8, or typed Excel columns. One file per job.
  3. 34 groups, 64 columns The same 64 on every plan. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.
  4. Three presets Contact only, full record, or the outreach set. Or tick your own.
  5. The cost, before you commit One credit per place, once per 30 days. Re-downloading is free.

Questions about investment-service lists

Can I reach a named portfolio manager with this list?

No, and any list that promises it is guessing. The contact on a Maps listing is the firm’s public inbox, not the person who runs the money.

Named decision-makers are rarely on a public page. Plan firm-level outreach, and use an email-finding method if you need a specific inbox.

Why does compliance matter so much to my email?

A regulated firm logs and supervises its communications for the regulator. Staff cannot answer a stray sales email on their own.

So your message meets a screen that asks whether you are safe to engage. A clear, low-risk, specific offer is the one that gets through.

How is this different from a financial planner list?

They overlap, but the buyer differs. A financial planner advises people. An investment service often manages money, funds or trades at the firm level.

The compliance gate is heavier here, and the vendors these firms accept are narrower. Lead with safety, not growth.

What kind of vendor gets a reply from these firms?

Compliance tools, market data, back-office and custody services, and recruiters for regulated roles. Those solve problems the firm already owns.

A novel growth tool from an unknown sender is a slow sell. A cautious firm rarely adopts one on a cold email.

Is there a live count for investment firms?

No. This is not a tracked category in our file, so we publish no count rather than invent one.

The category searches in the app on any plan. Pick it, pick a country, and the number appears before you export.
